RE: Silver Nautique
Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, im sort of torn about putting a tower on it or not..... I believe that there were only 82 of them made, this one is #53. And yeah that was me coming down 45 then 2920, live over in the Klein area. Was wondering if you were on here. Sweet looking rig you have. We were trying to find some smooth water on Conroe.

The weekends are often a lost cause for waterskiing, but during the week it gets pretty good. One guy was pulling a skier on his PWC through their home made slalom course. Even the main part of the lake was calm.2015 G23

However, it was horrible though, i wouldn't recommend anyone going out there on the weekdays...............

Thanks, Claydog. I live just on the other side of 249 off of spring cypress. Before we started skiing on the private lake about 10 years ago, we spent many early mornings and late evenings skiing on Conroe. Our slalom course is still probably sunk up in that cove on the North side of 1097 a couple of miles up.Shane Hill

RE: Re: RE: Silver Nautique
That was your course? Used to see that when i was a kid, a few years ago, my brother and his friends used to ski that course (15 years ago), it was 6 balls, then the nest time it would be 4 balls then 3, after that we never saw it again. Private, sounds nice. Im off of Cutten and Louetta.

RE: Re: RE: Silver Nautique
Yep, that was ours. Put it in way back in the early 90s. It was crazy the turn we'd make deep in that cove. We called it the suicide slide. We mapped out the dogleg there by walking it and then staked it out with rebar. If you strayed a foot too wide or too tight, it was stump city. We witnessed many people destroy boats up there who'd seen us make the dogleg back to the course and thought they could do it. We maintained it pretty well until 98 when we started filling the private lake.Shane Hill

I've never really gone to the cove you are talking about on the North side of the bridge. Is it the first one on the West side, North of the bridge?2015 G23

No, it's farther north than that. Another couple of coves up on the west side. Since there are no homes there, I can't imagine they pulled any stumps when it was down.Shane Hill
