    My new 2008 SANTE 210

This is my first post here on PN but I of course been one of the many 'lurkers' here for the last year or so. I purchased a new 08' SANTE 210 with the ZR6 390hp engine last Sept ending my 6 month search for a new boat. Coming from a 96' Mastercraft Prostar 190 this is huge upgrade as we mostly wakeboard and also want to start wakesurfing this year.

I was originally looking for a used wakeboard boat from any of the big 3 (CC, MC & BU') in the 02-06 year range but have to admit I was leaning toward another MC as I had no issues with my old 190 at all. I looked locally for quite a while and also kept in touch with the local CC, MC and BU' dealers as they occasionally get a trade in. Well, I didn't have much luck locally and I was willing to travel so I ended up calling Pride of Muskoka (Nautique dealer) and talked to a gentleman named Neil. I told him what I was looking for and he asked me "just curious, why MC or BU"? I didn't have a better answer than I wanted a well built boat with a good wake. Neil said "Fair enough, but do you have a little time to talk?" I did and WOW, this guy was so passionate about CC and the boats they build, I honestly couldn't believe how many reasons he gave me why Nautique boats are built better than any other boat on the market. MC and BU also told me they built the best boat but never did tell me why for some strange reason. Anyways, after talking to Neil I started doing some more research on CC and talking to local owners. The more research I did the more I knew I wanted to buy one. I would also like to thank everyone in the PN community for posting so much helpful information as well!

My search for a used boat didn't go very well as they are hard to find where I live and the used 210's were very high priced as they hold their value so well. So I ended up buying a leftover 08' SANTE 210 for a great price last fall, I only had a chance to have it out twice before I had to put it in storage for the winter but I couldn't be happier with my choice! Before I purchased my new 210 I ended up looking at 5 different boat companies, when I'm spending that much money on a new boat it will never be because someone else told me I should buy it. I looked at MC, BU', Tige, Centurion and of course Nautique and the Nautique IMHO was second to none. I ended up with a Nautique not only because I loved the boat, but also because of the company Nautique itself, the history, build quality, warranty, dealer service, and of course the legendary wake! Can't wait for spring!

P.S Great job on the new PN site Jeff!

Congats! You'll love it. That is the same color scheme I have been building online and thinking about for my next one.

Well said I went through the same thing in 07 and bought a 08 210 in Jan 09. I have a Supra and just like you the more I researched the more I liked Nautique. Last year I put 120 hours on my 210 with no problems. I am envious of the 6L mine has a 5.7L Cat engine. I know you will love it this year. Good Luck

        I'm jealous...

since you've researched and purchased, what are similar boats (new, leftover and low hour 210's) going for in this market?

          Thanks guys,

Nautiquehunter- the ZR6 is great but from what I have heard is its overkill in the 210 and doesn't make a whole lot of difference other than top end. It was the last 08 210 the dealer had left so I didn't get to make the choice...plus I got to tell the wife I was forced to buy the 6L!

wcherashore- I live up in Canada so the boat market is a little different than in the US, used SAN's are very hard to find. I was looking in the states before I purchased my boat as I bought my last one in Minnesota, new leftover 08 SANTE 210's were in the mid 50's at the time...I think there's still a used 08 210 on the PN site for around 45K.

Beachrat: As you will find out, Correct Craft is a pride no-one can explain. Once you become part of the boat, you'll see what I mean. I have been on the water around boats all my life. As soon as I could drive, I bought a 1978 CC American Skier. From then on, I have had a Correct Craft, now in a 1999 SAN. I just don't think there is a better boat and the company that builds them. Congrats on the 210. I love the colors. Maybe one day I can show some pics of my NEW boat.....

Great looking boat. Congrats. We love our 210 and you will like the 08 version over the 07 with the redesigned seating. Enjoy

Just chiming in with everyone else --- I too am part of the Nautique satisfied family... I came from a long line of Rinker I/O owners, even kept my first one for 16 yrs and thought I was happy with it UNTIL I test drove the "new" 211 back in 2004. The rest is history and I also upgraded last year to one of the "overstock" 2008 SANTE 220's w/Titan Tower --- I LOVE the Nautique boating lineup!!!!

Thanks again everyone, happy to be part of the family! I noticed a few of you have the titan tower, that tower would have been better for me as I don't have enogh clearance to fit my boat in the garage. Hey Nautiquehunter, I forgot to tell you that your orange crush 210 looks AWESOME!
