stereo....good question...just got into trouble with the wife for going over the stereo budget.....

going with

eclipse 8353 balanced head unit
custom ir remote pod where clarion used to be ( will post pics when done)
3 jl 300/4 amps running bridged
1 jl 500/1
3 pairs image dynamic 6.5 chamelaon seperates set up coaxial
1 pair image dynamic idq 12's in 2.50 cu ft. ported box
3 streetwires 1 farad caps
0 gauge streetwires for +/-
14 gauge streetwires speaker cable in shotgun setup
ar ht131 interconnects.

i m breaking in the subs and tweeking the q for the best sound...ported boxes are ALOT differrent than sealed boxes....

should have it all installed in 2 weeks....i am getting the wires, amps, and headunit first week and speakers the second week.

I have a teflon wax on my SAN. It makes cleaning it very easy. It hardly even gets a waterline. Is that what you're talking about?

Awesome... I picked up my SV211 the same day.. ok, actually it arrived, I paid for it, and it stays at the marina in storage until spring! UGggghhh! I love your colors too, however, I went with the Red Hull and the Titanium stripe! Can't wait til next year, until then you guys on this site will just have to keep showing me more pics, and telling me how great it is to be a Nautique owner!!!!! I'm impressed already.. but then I've had a Stern Drive I/O for 15 years! What an upgrade!!!!!

from what i understand, the teflon coating is the same thing that is used on a car and it allows for no waxing for 4-5 years and very easy cleanup...

Teflon coatings have been done on cars for years and is starting to be very popular on boats.

Tech Formula in San Diego gives you a 6 year warranty and a guarantee that you won't have to wax your boat during that time. If you really want to you can and it won't hurt the Teflon at all.

Wax fades 1% to 2% a day in the sun, Teflon stays on for up to 6 years without breaking down.

I had my boat done over a year ago and have never had a hard time cleaning it with simple soap and water, the water beads up and rolls right off just like it was freshly waxed with little or no water spots. I also had my trailer done so it makes for easy cleaning after trailering any long distances.

I also had my truck done, water just rolls right off it when it rains and washing it is much easier, just rinse and dry.

For those of you in San Diego it's worth the $300 - $400 to have it done, my boat looks brand new after 2 years of use.

If you can find a dealer in your local area that does Teflon coating it's well worth it.

Was there this morning. No one around . I just did a calibration and check since I just completed the end of season serviceand replaced my gauges. We'll be out next Friday with my son and a friend from the UCSD Waterski team.
