That's a beautiful boat, but it does not appear to be a Silver Anniversary edition. Nice looking boat.
1986 was the 25th year, or silver anniversary year of the Ski Nautique.
However, CC made a Special Edition Silver Anniversary boat, the Silver Nautique. It was black with silver metal flake and the graphics said Silver Nautique.I think that's the boat the most people are going to think of as the silver edition.
Regardless, looks like you have a very nice boat there.

BTW - the boat may say silver edition, I don't know. In 1981, all the boats said 20th anniversary edition, but only a few of the boats were special editions featuring an upgraded interior, high back drivers seat, and polished windshield.
It may also be the case in 86, but I'm not sure. BKH2001 Super AirComment

I think he is referring to the 25th anniversary being the "Silver" anniversary in the marriage world, not the Silver boat we are all thinking of.How 'bout a little reverse action...Comment

Thanks for the info guys. I was not aware that there was a special edition boat. There is a page in the Owners Manual referencing the 25th anniversary and offering a commemorative key chain so I made an assumption. I still like the more classic look of the gray/blue boat. I had never seen the silver metal flake boat before. How many did they build?
I had the chance to ski behind a nautique when I was 19 ( 1973 ) and fell in love with the boat. I dreamed of one day owning a nautique. In 1997 I was fortunate to run across this boat that had 200 hrs. at the time. I still love this boat today and it has been a great, trouble free, boat. It does not get as much use as it once did since a V-Drive came in the family & the wake became so important, but I am 56 now and those "face plants" hurt more than they used to. These days I let my sons push the limits of sanity, for me, I just love to drop the nautique in smooth water, bump the starter,hear that engine purr and ski behind the best boat ever built. Life is GoodComment

Great looking boat. I had an '84 SN2001 there is not a better sounding boat out there. IMO

There were 88 Silvers built. All '86 2001's have the "25" on the dash though.
