You have a pretty special boat there....I wouldn't put a tower on it personally, and I'm a tower guy! Just my thoughts....
On another note, that is one of the best performing Nautiqes ever. I've heard from several guys, that the boat really comes into it's element with a full size rudder. Apparently they handmade smaller rudders for that boat to "de-tune" it a bit so as not to comperte with the flagship 196.
A friend in high school had one, wakes great with just a few minimal sacs and a couple people

+1 on NO TOWER, especially if your looking to hold it's value (my$.02). Stick with the FlyHigh.
As for the speedos, I use a hand held ball inflator as you only need to pump enough air to get the guage to move.
Nice boat by the way. Enjoy it.

I'm enjoying it thoroughly! Still haven't gone to a tower, going to try some sacs first and see if I really need a tower. I pulled rear seat out and that alone seems to have improved the roominess for the wife and kids, just stepping around boards is a pain. I used a volleyball pump to check gauges and both are fine. Just need to trace tubing back through boat as there doesn't seem as if there is any obstruction when using pump to blow air through them. Still have one functioning speedo...'97 SN 176 GT40

There is a brass damper tube behind the gas tank. It has a connection on the top, and the bottom. The hose for the speedometer can come disconnected from the brass tube, and then the speedometer will not work.
If the needle on the speedometers move when you blow a low pressure air in to them, the hoes or the pitot is disconnected, or plugged.
