I have owned the boat for two years and have enjoyed every minute. The boat is now stored for winter as we wait for the lake to freeze and then thaw in April
Very nice!! Just make sure those crutches on the wall dont get any use before the boat! It would be great if we got some snow around here these days as our ski hill is still waiting to open...I dont like this extended in between season thing!!
Northof49, it's hard to believe you don't have snow up there, google map Fort St. James folks, you are way up there!!! Your Signature Edition looks sweet too, how many hours are on it?
Yes we are way up here. Being way up here means the season is short, however the lake we have is all ours. No club fees, no other users of the lake and well sheltered so calm most of the time.
Since the new year, we have had a lot of snow. Last week we got 70cm (25 inches) with temperatures of -20 which is great for the ski hill (not the temperatures), however the weather makes the water season look far away. The weather forecast is for 5 degrees (40) by Friday and rain, so I will be out to the dock at the lake to shovel it off. Rain and a 1.5 metres of snow equals a collapsed dock so it has to be shovelled off asap.
The days are getting longer....it is all downhill to spring!!
186 hours, Nice!! It was -30.5 F. yesterday morning at my house, 36 miles north of St. Paul, coldest we've seen in some time!! Of course at temps that low the two scales get closer, -34.7 C., and it's boat show weekend here!!
Sorry to revisit this post, but if anyone on this site can see a temp range like we have here, tell me about it. 100.5 F at my house today. Hot spot in the country. And my wife is out of town, no one to boat with!!

It's been about 10 years since it happened, but here in Austin in February one year it snowed one Saturday and 2 weeks later it hit 99. Don't remember the temp the day it snowed, but to go from snow to 99 in 2 weeks, that's a big swing in a short time.
Chris196, I was in Green Valley, AZ. about 15 years ago at Thanksgiving, woke up to frost on the windshield (28-34F) and it ripped up to 85 and we were at the pool that afternoon. I can see that happening in your neck of the woods!!
We are a long way north so dont get the swing in temperatures like that. The key thing these days is that the lake does not have ice on it anymore. The lake melted completly on May 11th this year and it has been great skiing every since.
Northof 49, that looks absolutely mint up there, the lake I was on over the 4th had ice out on May 4th (Leech Lake, 103,000 acres). Thanks for the photos!!
