My first Nautique.

Hi I'm Richard, or Woodsy.
Well after many years and many boats i've brought my first Nautique.

2006 196 LTD with 68 hours,
she leaves Texas at the end of the month and should be in the water in Sunny Australia by first Weekend in November.

We mostly slalem and barefoot with a little bit of surfing for me at the moment (i'm on the mend from a smashed up leg in early 2010) and have been pretty disapointed with 2 of our last boats (06 then 07 Respoce LXI's) which were neither a good surf boat or a good barefoot boat (06 had a slightly better slalem wake).

Yeah i know the LXI's could be clased as a crossover but for us they did nothing well and were just a compromise all round.

Hopefull this ones as good as everyone says Nautiques are, cant wait for a decent Slalem/Barefoot wake again and i've got plenty of fat a$$ mates to balast up for a surf

Where did you buy it in Texas?

From a dealer about 100 clicks (American clicks) from Galveston.
very happy with service and price, hopefully it's as good as they say it is.

I've brought 5 boats from USA and the only one i've been disapointed with is one i checked out personaly when i was over there, the dealer said he'd fix this and that before it left but when it arived in Aussie he hadn't done anything he promissed.

It was a 2000 Moomba Outback, what a POS, was glad to see the back end of it as the new owner drove away. However the new owner only wakeboards and he's happy with it.
