Wow that is really cool! I hope the OP comes back on to explain how he did it. I toyed with doing something similar to my boat when I had the one piece hatch redone last spring but I wasn't sure it would come out very good. Wish I had seen his results but oh well I like what I have and I'm not sure it would have worked very well on my boat with the Python hump in the center of the sun pad anyways.
