I put the flyhigh system in from barefoot international it adds 1600 pounds over stock ballast and only takes up locker space when full - personally I feel that the 230 at stock 750lbs is not enough realistically they should have built this boat out of the factory with more ballast but I suppose with the g23 they have done that now. Anyway the 230 with extra ballast is an awesome wake.

Great looking boat, congrats! I have an '08 to which I've added the 750's for the rear lockers, and the "Arrow Sack" all from Flyhi/Barefoot International. The 750's really fill up the rear lockers and make the surf wake very nice and the arrow sack will help balance out the rear extra ballast. For us, the stock wake is awesome on the 230, we use the flyhi mostly to surf.
One other thing to remember when adding ballast to a 230, you'll want to make sure you have the upgraded ZeroOff antenna and software. My 230 will "porpoise" with all of the flyhi @ wakeboarding speeds.2008 230 TE-ZR6

Miljack, what is the upgraded gps antenna and software you mention, and how would we know if that has been done? I also have a "new to me" 2008 SAN230 and will be running extra ballast.2008 Super Air 230 ZR6

The GPS antenna is more rectangular, not a round "puck" (original style antenna). If it has the new antenna, 99% it has the software update (you need a different harness too), if you're not sure ask your dealer, or call NP.com/WLM (site sponsor).2008 230 TE-ZR6
