1999 SAN with new/used Gen 4 FCT...

Just purchased this used Gen 4 FCT, had it powder coated, and installed it on my 1999 SAN a few weeks ago. IMHO, it all came together pretty nicely just in time for my annual Lake Powell trip.

Wow that looks awesome! Did you have to make the tower narrower to fit you boat? Amazing looking boat!

Thanks for the compliment. I did have to make it narrower. But I did not have to cut and weld it...I was able to bend it just enough to make it work. The front legs lined up perfectly with the original mounting points for the original tower. The rear mounting points are obviously much farther back and a different shape, but it worked out great because I was able to mount the tower right at the edge where it is stronger. I drilled holes where the original rear mounting points were and dropped a couple of cupholders in them.

That is great that you didn't have to cut and weld. Was that tower originally from an 07+ 210, 2006 210 or something else? Updating the original FCT on my 99 is definitely on my list.

It was on a 2007 210. If you found one from a 2006 210 it would be very easy to make it fit. Bending this one made me clinch a little more than I wanted to.

Wow that looks awesome man. Is there a place to find oem towers like an fct2, or do you just have to scan craigslist for em?

Thanks! I think some OEM towers are available through a dealer or from Roswell. But I believe the older OEM towers are no longer available. So you have to keep an eye out. I saw a 1998 with this tower on it and loved it. So when one became available I snatched it up. Shipping from North Carolina was $300 and the powder coat cost me $200. But it was all totally worth it in my opinion.
