Another Aussie Nautique. 2008 SANTE 210

It must be that time of year if you guys are winterizing and some Aussies are getting excited for the pending summer so I thought I might join in.

After a long search I had to travel 10hours to pick this baby up. Bought it in June which is our winter, so had to don the wetsuits for the first few outings, but now the warmth is on it's way it's time to put some hours on this thing.

    Modifications so far:
DIY spinning board racks (I am a fitter/machinist)
    DIY 10" speaker pods (unfinished)
Black deck stripe from 2009+ models
    Black wheels on trailer.
Pic below is how I picker her up

So I am very happy with how it looks with the deck stripe, I am also considering powder coating the windscreen frame black, and possibly but not likely the tower.
    What do you think?

Clean looking boat and very nice work on the deck stripe! I assume the stripe is vinyl and you just cut to shape around the decals?

I reckon powdercoating the screen would be a lot of work. Maybe try a tint on the screen although don't go too dark as I understand it can be a pain at times.

        Thanks guys.
The stripe is indeed vinyl wrap cut out around the decal, cutting around the decal was the easy part, getting the curve spot on took the most amount of time.

I understand the screen is a bit of work to remove and reassemble but I am willing to put in the hours for the desired result, I'm not a big fan of window tint, just like the black frame like on the later models.

This was an Aus delivered boat so this is the factory trailer it came on (made in aus) so I cant really compare it to a bunk only style trailer. I do know that this trailer manufacturer went from bunk only to bunk/roller in 2008 and haven't switched back so I assume it's a good thing, my black hull still has scuff marks from the rollers but it's very easy to drive on/off.

That deck stripe Looks killer man sets it off nicely. I'd leave the screen as is, if it scratched/chipped after painting it would look ratty, trust me, my 02 screen needs painting and it makes me wish it was a later model when they went to the raw finish.

Those trailer wheels look neat too, are they 14's?

Noticed your registration numbers. They look nice...look to be much larger than what is required in the US. Cool boat..!
                Peace..

                    Thanks guys.

muzz88, Yeah I also worry that changing the screen frame to black would look terrible after a few scratches, but they came this way from factory after 2010ish?. I have tried to get some reliable info as to how they are colored from factory, ie painted/powder coated/black anodized and I cannot find a definite answer, so she stays silver anodized for now.

sodbuster88, I hate our requirement for rego numbers, they need to be 150mm (6") tall by law. I wanted to use the same font as the side decal but this would have meant the whole rego decal would have ended up around 1300mm long!
