2000 Air Nautique

Here is our new to us 2000 Air Nautique. We picked it up Saturday and can't wait for it to warm up.

This is our first boat and first Nautique.

Great looking boat and welcome to the site. I love that shade of blue, sea blue I think? I think it must have been pretty rare because I have only seen a couple of other early 2000's boats with that color.

Based on the 2000 brochure on the correct craft fan site, I think the color is sky blue with zypher (gold) stripping, and the natural hull, but I could be wrong. I really like it as well.

Looks like we will be on the north end of Lanier this summer, can't wait to get the slalom out and ski behind her.

Oh yes I think you are right that it is sky blue now that I look at your pics and the color chart. I think if you contact Nautique with your hull number they can pull up your build sheet to give you the official colors and other specs. I have been meaning to do this for a while on my boat.

Great boat! Two things: If you're wakeboarding, you can get a smaller, elongated fat sac to put in the rear locker to complement the built in ballast. Throw in another in the center storage compartment and you'll have a pretty good wake and not sacrifice seating or being able to move around the boat.

Second, when stopping, don't pull back the throttle to neutral because you'll lose your steering. Pull it back all the way just so it's in gear. This boat won't steer much without throttle, so you can't coast and still expect to have control.
