Movin' on up..... to a Correct Craft...

Well I now have owned one of each of the big three. I originally bought a 200 Malibu Sunsetter LXI... lasted a few years and many hours of fun on the water. I got a few more promotions at work and eventually bought a 2005 Mastercraft X-2. I eventually was asked (read: ordered) to go to Hawaii and sold that back in 2008. Fast forward a few duty stations and many years, I now am the new owner of a 2007 211 Team Edition.

It has been quite a good time and a learning experience so far, mostly with the trailer not necessarily the boat, and I have done a lot of reading on this site and always am finding out the tips and tricks I need to fix this or reassemble that.

Good looking boat! How do you like the bimini over the top of the tower?

Thanks!! its looking a lot better. I have buffed the entire boat over the winter, steam cleaned the bilges, engine bay and all the vinyl seats/bottoms, replaced the speakers with newer Polks, currently in progress of replacing the sano pads and a few other small things like locker shocks that have worn out. I think I should have my own line of accounting at nautiqueparts.com by now. I have also replaced all four disc brake assemblies, rotors, and inner and outer bearings on the trailer.

As for the bimini, I love it being above the tower. My X-2 and Sunsetter had conventional tower mounted biminis that i took across the forehead too many times to recall. You really had to limbo to get under it to get to the drivers seat too. At first I was worried I was going to lose some sun coverage, but honestly, its quite comparable to a lower mounted one.

Bought a 2006 in December and love it to death! Take your time adjusting the ballast to get it set up correctly. I've been working to get it correct for the last few weeks.
