    Yeah, but hull and deck are lifetime to original owner. I think that's where the problem is.
    I forgot about that... Thanks for refreshing my memory.

      Painting galvanized trailer...

      SkylarK: Actually, I do want to paint the trailer. I've been doing some research to see what others have done in painting a galvinized trailer. Some say you have to prime it with a special layer. Others say it defeats the purpose of a galvanized trailer to paint it. Since I don't take it in salt, the latter issue is not a big deal. I'm thinking of just taking it down to the local Maaco paint shop to see what they have to say. Another problem I have is I need a place to put the boat while the trailer is being worked on (probably a week or more).

      If anyone here has insight on painting a galvanized trailer, please let me know...
