    Another 2001

I love this boat. I get sad just thinking about my family outgrowing it one day! It's been VERY dependable, but it could be because I am a little anal retentive about taking care of her.
It's a 1989 with the PCM 351. The wake is great behind these boats.

I have been thinking the same thing about a 92! I decided a tower would really help to keep boards and things up out of the way. I'm not ready to give up completly...plus the 20ft limit on my lake is keeping me in check! Great looking boat!

Great boat. The 2001 is a great boat. One word of warning. Last time I posted that my boat had been trouble free the starter went out the next trip out. From here on out I just enjoy mine and dont brag about it being reliable anymore.

Yeah, jon4pres, I hope that I haven't jinxed myself by making the reliability comment! I actually was thinking that when I typed it.
Shilohnautique, this pic was taken near the Twin Lakes landing on Hartwell. I'm usually on Hartwell or Jocassee. I'm trying to find a CHEAP weekender on Hartwell right now, so if you know of anything give me a shout.

A tower will help a lot. You'd be amazed at what sorts of space opens up with a tower. Just my 2 cents.

The board racks on the Skylon really clear up some floor space, but there's nothing that you can do to increase the number of "maximum persons" on the spec plate!

People actually follow that? Packing in a dozen is no strange thing for us. I've even seen other guys riding on the BOW.

You have got to really like the other 11 people to spend a day that way.

I knew I was going to get a new boat the next season but I still added the tower. Even though I only got one season out of it I don't regret the purchase one bit. I even modified my existing bimini to work with the tower. I think I probably get every dime back that I spent on the Monster Tower.

mrese, more like an hour or two. Spend most of the day on land playing volleyball, bags, or lounging on the pontoon. Definitely not 11 dudes, usually squeeze 3 ladies on the observer seat then scattered elswhere.

Got it. Those are the makings for a great time.

All great points, but as for the tower, I'm just not feeling it on this boat. It seems to rob a bit of the classic look that I love.
11 people in the boat... now that sounds like good ballast.
