    1973 to 2004

    First Nautique back in 1973

A 1982 2001 is missing from this story......Then in 1991 we thought we had purchased the last Nautique

However, this year a 2004 crossed our path and we couldn't resist one more time.

We were always be recognized on the Northen Calif Delta by an infomous Harley sticker

You must be older than dirt. I envy you having grown up behind a nautique. I could only dream until a few years ago. Nothing beats the wake or driving of a 196. Incredible.

I am older than dirt.......I didn't grow-up with Nautiques....We grew together. I was 30 years old when I first got behind a Nautique. I never skied before. I learned to get-up and how to ski in a course at the same time. I bought my first Nautique in 73 for $5600 and sold it 8 years later for $8000. The next was a 2001 model in 80, sold it roughly 10yrs later for $2000 less than I paid, and the 91 I just sold/traided-in cost me $2000, a transmition, set of heads, carb, 4 blade prop, Perfect Pass..........but I did have it for 14 years and the new owner is an old guy that will have it for another 14.

Dang -- great saga!! I love the pic with the '73 and I'm sure the '04 will be make for great memories, too!

My folks had a '66 CC Skylark when I was still at home, then I bought a '79 SN just after college, then to a '94 Sport for more interior and finally an '01 Super.

To the "Rippers" .....I like your website Dude. I put in a couple years in Rockford (1967)......picked-up a bad infection on the Rock River. 8-) It was nasty at that time.

It still is and leaves your gear STINKING. The first time out there was to step-off barefooting and we're skiing down and I'm looking down at rather large branches and debris. Good thing I didn't make it very far before my legs went numb and I wiped.
