the other thing i notice is that the wheels are far forward on the trailer, and that the boat is forward on the trailer, looks like 4-6 inches of bunks showing at the back. its like they were shoving the boat forward to make tongue weight. what do you think?

The trailers come in 3 sizes for memory and are adjustable, but why does it really matter if the bunks are showing.

Sweet boat to i bet u got a blinder of a deal

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, it's sweet to be made feel welcome

Speck - My BU was a Response. Back in 1999 when I ordered it, Wakesetters were only just starting to be manufactured in Australia and my budget didn't stretch that far. I rode behind an 05 VLX 2 weekends ago and the wake was comparible to my 210 (tanks full) but it was running 1100 lbs of additional ballast and the Wedge. Saving 25% on fuel was a big factor in my decision because we pay between $5 - $5.50 gallon ($1.30-$1.50 ltr) for fuel on the river over here.

Hollywood - pleased you specked the Holden. It's AWD with the HSV 5.7ltr Engine. (The 2nd love of my life)

Nawteak - I hadn't thought about changing the trailer. Food for thought maybe, I will see how it goes. Thanks for that.

Brad - I definately made a good saving buying 2nd hand. I was willing to order new and wait but got unbelievably lucky finding one with 5hrs on it. Especially when you consider there are probably less then 40 SANTE's in Australia at this stage. I would have never thought up this colour combination so I can't take any credt for that. I was a little sceptical when I first heard it was Black/Grey/Yellow/White but when I saw it, I was sold. All credit goes to the guy who ordered it. For those that don't like the colour combo, I can blame him too !

          Cheers All.....

The only concern I see with the trailer is snapping off a pitot tube on one of the bunks, but that might not even be a concern because I can't see how close they really are.

first time i pulled my boat out i damaged the speedo paddle wheel cos it's so close to the bunks.

i had my boat moved back cos my last easytow trailer (mal rlx) the bunks were rotten after 5 years, especially at the back. i think that you need the support of the bracket to take the weight of the boat, the bunks are only made from pine.

hey, if your still reading, i was concerned about the position of the wheels in relation to where the boat was sitting on the trailer. it is almost as if the trailer was made for an inboard not a v-drive. if you adjust the boat back to save the speedo tubes will there still be enough tongue weight? will the trailer tip backwards when unhooked from the car? i think thats why the boat is so far forward, for the necessary tongue weight.

No Sweat Speck. I've made some enquiries and the trailer manufacturer advised that the trailer's more of an "allrounder". They stated it can handle a V-Drive as well as an inboard (centremount). I haven't had the tongue weight measured but when I physically lift the front, I reckon it's comparitive to what my Malibu Response was, it's certainly not any lighter, so I'm pretty confident it's OK.

In relation to the speedo tubes, the bunks will definately take them out if I'm not careful, so I've got into the simple habit of flicking them up before I put it on the trailer. If I move the boat back to line up with the bunks the Tongue weight may become as issue.

                      Cheers.....Charlie_LPP-Rider

nice colour combo. That trailer is prbally one of the older spes easy tows. Now that more 210 aqre hitting the country they atre making little tweaks to every trailer. This year we got them to move the bunks apart further, to stop the problem of ripping the paddle wheel off, they also moved the axle back a little. ohh and we never bothered putting the speedo tubes down, and just use the pp gauge

This is easily the best looking "flashy" boat I have ever seen. I'm just stuck on deciding to go "flashy" or more laid back with white and gray.
