The box is 1/2 polypropylene sealed completely. Two sections. One for dry storage and one for wet. However there are two plugs front and rear so all can be wet is needed. Had to notch out the panel in the rear starboard storage area so the box would fit flat and drain to bilge.

Great job. Only comment is that I am not sure that is the right place for the cooler. Those two double seats are difficult to lift and gas shocks wear off easily. Maybe at the opposite side where you have a single seat

Love that cooler door. Would you care to share some additional info on the buildup. I also like the cooler concept but curious to know how easily that comes out. I would think it would be in the way when you need to remove the engine compartment dividers for service. Great work! Always nice to see other 220's for ideas

Thanks! Love our 220! It slides out rather easily. I cut a notch in starboard side floor board in the back storage compartment so that the chest lays flat. I used one of the old rubber stoppers from where the original ice chest was behind the observer seat to lock it in. To remove it I just take out two screws to remove the trim piece and then the box just pulls out.
