    My SV-211 Rig

    Hello to all,

Just joined the forum. I thought I would post a pic of my boat and tow vehicle. I have really enjoyed this boat since purchasing it in July. I am considering painting the tower, but not really sure. Any opinions?

I like the chrome, but a red power coat might look pretty sweet too.

    Nice rides!

If you want to change the color of the tower, DON"T paint.....Powdercoat! I am having mine done as we speak.

      Boat look great!

I think the boat as is looks fantastic. Is your Navigator bagged? It has a nice stance while hooked up still.

Nice looking setup!! I really like the red! I think a matching red tower would look pretty sweet on there, it would make it stand out a little more. JMO

Thanks so much for all the nice compliments. I only wish that the stripe on the side was black instead of white, but it was the only new red SV-211 my dealer had and I didn't want to wait 8 weeks for one to be made.

"Hollywood," I am not sure what it means if my Navigator is 'bagged', but it does have the adjustable air suspension and in the above picture it is in the lowered position. I had to buy another receiver with a six-inch drop to keep the boat level when towing because the truck rises 2-3 inches when driving. It is perfect now with the six-inch drop.

"mfloski," What are you paying to have your tower powder-coated? The cost is probably the biggest factor on whether I have it done or not. I would appreciate your input, thanks in advance.

Yes that is exactly what I meant. I wasn't sure if Navigators had that factory adjustable height air suspension. I think the tower color looks pretty good the way it is.

I just got my tower re powder coated and back on the boat. It was always red but just needed to be redone. The first pic is the original and the other two are after.

                      01superair,

I love the red hull with the white 'N' on your '01! I think that is the color combo they had in the '01 catalog. Very nice!

                        01superair,
Did they have to take the FCT off completely to paint it? I have been thinking about doing mine. Can you provide some detail on how you went about getting the tower done? Did you need to remove the tower yourself? What did the powdercoat job cost?

I have been thinking about doing this too, but I was worried about removing the tower for something cosmetic. I figure it is just a good idea to leave it be, since it is perfect and sturdy right now. But I sure would love to have the tower redone in white...

If you have a sec, a reply to this would be appreciated.

                        Thanks,
                        Erik

So how do you like your water ride? That is the same boat that I am looking at. How do you like the wake for skiing and wakeboarding? What was the price of your powder coating? Thanks
