The seats needed to redone so I just had them leave a little extra material so when I pulled the speakers tight they fit flush. used a pvc ring to act as a washer and screwed to that.

Thank you, I will have to give that a try. For the PVC ring, did you just get a length of PVC pipe it and slice it the correct thickness? If so do you remember what the diameter of the pipe was?

PVC pipe would not have a thick enough ring to allow you to screw it to anything. The 6 or 7" diameter pipe, might have a 1/4" wall thickness. you would be better off ordering flat sheets of PVC from Grainer or some other supply place. This would allow you to make whatever size backing plate you needed.

Phataz, I haven't, but the speakers have integrated LEDs for the ones that reflect off the cones, but they do have plex rings on wetsounds site to go around the speakers.
