2006 SV211 Team - to the SV211 Owners posting on PlanetNautique...

THANK YOU!!! When I test drove it, noticed it would need a new blower, and steering cable, among other minor things. The posts on this site provided great advice and gave me the confidence to replace the steering cable and hydrogate cable myself, likely saving over $1K. This years projects are done, and everything has worked as it should so far. Having some problems with the stereo, the boat has 2 Wetsounds amps, factory polk speakers, not sure on the sub mftr, but it doesn't seem to have enough power, will be investigating later, or may have to wait until after the season.

After researching, and shopping for almost 6 months, finally found "the one". Our lake has a strict 21' length limit, we wanted a Nautique v-drive, so the SV211 was the boat for us, had to drive 18 hours to pick it up, but it was well worth it and the owner was great in completing the transaction.

    Gorgeous boat!!

Is it the factory sub "tube" ? if so, it is VERY thin and heck, mine wasn't even attempted to be sealed. I think next winter a proper sub, with a proper size box would make a big difference than trying to over drive the factory polk one.

Thanks Nuke...no tube, it's in a box, I hope to take a look at it when we head back out to the lake next weekend. Sub moves, just no thump to it.

Any other sv211 tips you guys can pass on? Just bought an 06 and I'm having some throttle issues. Aka limp mode.

        Thanks!

I would start by replacing the fuel filter(s), haven't had to on mine, so not to sure where they are located, should be able to look up in owners manual. We seem to have to replace them on my grandpa's old 76 ski nautique every 6 to 8 years, he bought it new in 1976, still going strong today after 1 engine rebuild, and somewhere over 3,000 hours.

Just noticed the first part of your post. If your steering cable hasn't been replaced it will likely need to be, should be able to two finger steer even at speed, seems like they had a bad run of steering cables in all ski/wakeboard boats with a mid 2000 model year. The Perfect Pass display could eventually begin to work intermittently, I am having this problem now, and others have mentioned this issue on PN as well, probably a winter replacement for me. The only other repairs needed on mine, but not mentioned above, were the shocks on the glove box and ski locker. Another good resource for parts and troubleshooting problems is nautiqueparts.com, if you still have trouble with your throttle problem call them, leave a message, and they will call you back within a few hours. We've put around 30 hours on ours and love it. Hope you get the throttle issue resolved soon!

Thanks sno700sks! I'll definitely look into the fuel filter(s).

Steering does seem very light so far. The shox on the ski locker are going though. Perfect pass might be the root of my throttle issues...TBD.

Random poll question: if you were to replace the decal on your 211...would you order the same one? Or try something new?

I'm thinking about trying to integrate a super air background decal into the regular air decal.

Cool? Or does everyone now make this face ---> 😒
