First boat '89 Ski Nautique

After bumming rides and borrowing boats for 2 years I finally had enough cash to buy my own. Picked it up last weekend. Seems to be in very good shape, i used the checklists from this site and CCF to check stringers and engine condition.

I primarily wakeboard and surf, so i already had about 1800 lbs of sacks and all the other sport gear needed.

I have already ordered/purchased:

- 400 lbs of shot from POP wake
- a stainless 2 piece flyhigh pole
- a sunbrella cover from angola canvas company

Planned upgrades:

- repair a small chip in gelcoat on the starboard chine
- Acme 470 prop (probably sooner than later)
- stereo
- New dimensions FCT2 style tower
- remove old graphics and pinstriping and replace with new

Great boat! Makes a good wake. Be careful with all that weight, some of those tranny's don't like that much extra weight back then. I have had a few 89's and they are great boats.

Thanks for words of caution. I don't plan on using all of it. probably about 1000-1200, hoping i can hide some with the shot and just use one 750 sack. I was using two 750 sacks and a 370 in a 93 sport, made a great wake, unfortunately the owner decided they weren't going to let us borrow it anymore. So i found this one. I have next week off work too, some sessions/tuning will be had.
