Hey NautiqueGirl I recognize that boat! Haha. I have the blue/yellow/white 210. I talked to you and Mark a few weeks ago at the lake. I saw you guys on the river Sunday afternoon when I was driving down River Watch. I love the river! The water is always smooth, but a little cool. What was the water temp Sunday on the river?
Welcome to PN. Lots of good info on this site.2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200

Yes, I know your boat. I passed you going to the lake tuesday.. I recently did a piggy back system for ballast and was having trouble with gauges and draining so was searching here today found some great reads!
The river is only about 2 miles from my house so you can't beat that tow time there....Water is sitting right around 72-75 perfect if you ask me.... Maybe will see ya around then! Come to the river its where the good water runs.

I've had some issues with a piggyback system as well. I started a thread about it a couple weeks ago. I think I have everything sorted out now. Fingers crossed. Did your piggyback kit come from Wakemakers? If so, I may be able to help. I feel like I'm becoming an expert with that particular system.2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200

evening shade:
no it didn't come from them.. I did order the male and female connectors and ran it straight from my factory tanks to bags out the over flow... I am replacing impellers tomorrow all of them too.. Just had some gauge issues and suction issues ...
my gauges aren't reading well and I may have bad impellers because seems to be losing water out of one side ..what issues were you having ??

Losing water out the side may be siphoning, but not sure if that is the case with yours. Mine is a long story, but my piggyback kits were assembled incorrectly at Wakemakers and when I couldn't figure it out Wakemakers sent me a diagram that was labeled incorrectly. Wakemakers them sent me new piggyback kits so I think everything is good now. My piggyback kits have one way check valves to prevent siphoning and to prevent the hard tanks from collapsing when the sacs are completely emptied.
Be careful about emptying your sacs completely. If the sacs get completely empty and your pumps are still running it will create so much suction that your hard tanks will begin to colapse which will bend your sending unit. If this happens its not a big deal, but it will cause your ballast gauges to always read partially full.

Evening Shade. Your tanks on the side or under your bags?
I ask because the piggy back system is little different for each. The older style with "wedge tanks" has been pretty simple. It's the newer style with tanks side mounted that have a little issue to my knowledge.
I know in 07-08 no check valves are needed because gravity does its part there and you don't need the additional suction like you do with the side mounted tanks.Last edited by swatguy; 07-09-2015, 01:32 PM.

Just curious why wakemakes added a the check valves. I have nothing in mine at all and it works flawless. I run the overfill from the tank to the bottom of the bag. Then run an overflow line from bag to the side exit port out of the boat. There is always air flow from vent line into the sac so the tanks will not collapse and gravity will alway drain sac into the tank. I just added a manual ball valve to the vent line so when we are filled for surfing the piggy back sac doesn't empty out of the vent line because the sac is above the vent port of the boat. This also allows me to really max out the sac.
Sorry to hijack your new boat post NautiGirl.
Hit me up w pm if you want evening. Very curious .Last edited by swatguy; 07-09-2015, 01:58 PM.

no worries always welcome help!! I replaced impeller today seemed to hold water perfect but I need a way from preventing when I drain the sacks collapsing on me and auctioning dry...
trying to keep the hose high preventing the hose from pushing down on bag to keep air flow ...
this was my challenge ..
was losing water out over flow too when pulling riders full .. so maybe a valve

I just put a simple manual pvc ball valve on the vent line. When the sac starts to overflow I shut the ball valve. This prevents the siphon out the overflow line because the vent is blow the top of the sac and gravity takes place. Then when i go to empty fully I open the valve back up so the air can flow.
