    Restoring 2001 SAN & Trailer

These are some photos from along the way of restoring my 2001 Super Air 210. Feel free to ask questions or give feedback. It's been a fun resto and I'm finally nearing the end! This is the day I bought it Memorial Weekend of 2015

Trailer was originally red and at some point had been rattle canned black. Maybe stolen 😂 Contraption for bending my bunks Freshly sand blasted Getting ready to hit it with some love Boiling up some water to soften up the new bunks Pleased with how the colors matched. Not bad for matching the paint with a sample on the boat lift, in the middle of the night with a flashlight, during a storm on the boat lift!

Now the boat project starts! Good portion of the interior is getting new skins Pulling out all of the old sound system. Including 2 12" subs. This one came from under the passenger dash. I know I'm a cheap *** for not going Wetsound...

Amazing what hot water and power washer will do! New sub box that will double as a step and seat This was probably the point where I really started to question some of the life choices I'd made

This next batch of photos is still in chronological order with the resto. I threw the boat together just enough to get it out on the water for New Years Day. Air Temp was about 38 and Water Temp was 34.

Bye bye decals #stripped Starting to put some things back together The wetsanding has begun Above the rub rail is before. Below the rub rail is after wet sand and buff. Still needs the finishing polish.

Now this thread is up to date. Will continue to add more pics and info as I come closer to finishing. Started this project early November and this is where I set early February.

Nice work! amazing the difference the wet sand is making. Nice job on the New Year freeze ride, must have been chilly!

It might already be on your list but swapping out the plastic bilge/ballast outlets and rub rail end caps for stainless is an easy improvement that makes a big difference. Here is a pic of my boat after the upgrade. Bilge outlets are from Wakemakers and end caps are from Nautique Parts. I also swapped the factory cup holders for stainless. I found a great deal on E-bay for these that seem to be exactly the same as the Nautique ones at a fraction of the price. I can find that info for you if you want.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! @Shawn I kicked around the idea of doing that and then decided not too. I think I may end up doing it though after its all finished since the wetsanding and mainly buffing has stained the white plastic rings. Will make that decision once the rest of the buffing is finished!
