Boat Wrap - Anyone have pictures

Has anyone designed any boat wraps that they would share pics of? I don't love the gothic look of my graphics and I am considering doing a partial boat wrap. I like the blue color, but not the graphics.

Those are some of the best graphics Nautique had in my opinion. You can get different Nautique graphics if you want from http://nautiqueparts.com

I'd start by pulling everything off and then decide. It's easier to think about it when you have a clean slate. Those decals come off relatively easily on a warm day when the boat is left outside for awhile. If you still want some big graphic or wrap, that gets into purely personal and subjective opinions about what looks good vs what doesn't. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I think the mythical griffin thing was not only ugly, it was an extension (or doubling down) of the whole ugly tribal thing that was popular a few years before that. Anyone remember the "barbed wire" edition of the X-star? Again, eye of the beholder.

Today's trends are towards very simple geometric graphics. I'd bet if you put it to a poll, most people would tell you to pull it all and simply put on a black or chrome chromax SAN decal and leave it at that. good luck in deciding. It's still a great boat whichever way you decide to go.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm on the fence on doing anything. I called a wrap place and with a small amount of design time and the material and install, I think I will have $1200 to $1800 invested. Maybe I should wait a few years (I bought this boat last year -- new to me) and do a big update then.

I'm not a fan of boat wraps usually. I'm also like you, and not the biggest fan of that year's graphics. I'd start with just removing them and going classy at first. Then if you want, just do something small that would accent the boat well but leave most of the original gel visible. Be careful ordering a different years graphics...they may not line up just right with your models lettering. But I'm def against a big gaudy graphic that'll cover the entire boat. Unless you're a business advertising....it just looks cheap!

You could pull the graphics and just leave the lettering. That may look pretty clean. But I agree... If you just got the boat maybe wait a little bit and see how it goes.

I always liked the graphics on that boat but I'm not the one making the payment!!! Our last 220 was all red and the later chromax lettering on sides and it looked really clean. You could pull all of what you've got, polish it up nice and leave it or add something simple like that. That little 220 was sharp.

I had the same on my 230 and upgraded to the later graphics.

The best upgrade I did is seadek, do that first !

I like the Griffin too. I seen a couple of wraps done in the DFW area but don't know who did them. Not much help.

I had a wrap shop do the 2013ish graphic on my 2007 220. Paid $1,200. You should also do the chromemax letters.

                          Seadek is the best upgrade.
