We just went to a lake 2 hours south of SLC last weekend and water temp was 71. too cold for me, but kids were fine. Friday we are going for 3 days to lake powell, and i will report the findings of 3 days in the SAN 230. I will say this: so far everything has exceeded my expectations. the only drawback that i currently have, other than the cost of ownership, is the $35 dollar cooler that came with it. I am currently working on a solution with some friends at Yeti Coolers. I will show you all the result if and when it works out

Also having Custom Covers/ Sewlong, here in SLC, placing their patented bimini and cover today. I went with the full cover without the snaps. I have had snaps on my last 2 boats, and am excited to be finally done with them. I spent more time cleaning wax out of them than anything and i don't like the covers that snap on, at least in my last Moomba XLV, we had to get inside the boat to put the snap cover on.

Great looking boat! I'm interested to see how the Yeti cooler thing works out. And I agree with you about the snap on covers. I will never own one. I don't want to be cleaning wax out of the snaps. Plus, all those snaps on the boat don't look good IMO.

Nice boat and I am sure you will enjoy it with your family.

On a side note, are you Kelly, the famous one from BCD in Dallas in the 90's?

The good old days of dental school. Not sure how we got out of there alive. Shoot me an email and we can catch up off the forum later. I am going to bed now because I have patients in less than 7 hours. Once you have some wakeboard crashes and start getting tension headaches or migraines I will show you what we are doing to decrease/eliminate headaches and getting patients off of Imitrex and Topomax on a regular basis. Talk to you soon. I have not seen you and Diana in years (we are getting old).

                  kdc,

I'm thinking about buying a hold over next year. Just curious how much they were willing to come off of MSRP for a last year model?

check out my other post regarding my yeti and the retrofit. it is pretty awesome looking.

I already had the yeti, but I agree that there are many options other than the yeti now, had I not already had the yeti. hard coolers are a dime a dozen now, but the reviews and tests show that the orca and the cabela's house brand. The only one that hasn't faired well is the Grizzly, but I still really like the esthetics of those.
As far as soft coolers go, I have a yeti hopper 30, the Nautique one, and an AO and I just sold the yeti on ebay and am sticking with the AO as my soft cooler cause it will still fit under my seat.
