Finally got it all finished up. Wanted to change it up and have something different. Had the orange wrap done with the "surf nautigue" logo. I redid the trailer myself from grinding off rust, to repainting, to making new boards and carpeting, to doing the graphics with the pin stripping. Also dyed the orange and black strips on the vinyl and re-sewed the bimini top with orange strips. Yes, my favorite color is orange.

I have the same boat, albeit in a much greater state of disrepair. Did you adjust the stock board racks to get all the surf boards in there? We have an LF board and it will not sit in the racks.

Would love to see pics of how your vinyl dye turned out? Do you have any better pics of that? What color was is that you dyed over? From what I can see on rear of your hatches it looks good.

Pretty good looking to start with, ended up really cool!! I'm always impressed by the dedication some of you guys show to restoring/modding your boats. I'm looking at you too t.franscioni!!

Thanks for the compliments guys! I really appreciate it. I actually spent most of the winter doing a lot of reading and research while recovering from an ACL injury. Once I got to the point where I was back on my feet again (probably around February) I had a game plan in place and a "To Do" list and got started. I finally finished everything from my list about 3 weeks ago. The first thing was taking the boat to GoSurfAssist and having Ryan install their system on it and upgrading the ballast setup for it. http://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/fo...t-gosurfassist
The rest was....... FAE exhaust, added a drop-down ladder underneath the swim deck, got rid of those pain in the a** helm control knobs and adding electronic valves, upgraded some of the sound system, installed a hidden v-sac up front, repaired a few small cracked/torn seams and dyed the vinyl, made an air-dam curtain, redid the bimini top to add the orange strips, removed all the graphics from the boat and trailer, took the trailer apart and redid it (where ever there was a carpeted board the metal was rusted bad), had the orange wrap done, and then I added the rest of the graphics. One cool part was doing most of the graphics myself with my wife's Cricut machine that she does craft/scrapbooking with. It was pretty neat learning how to use that thing to cut graphics.

tachudda - I just bent out the bottom racks on both sides just a little bit to get the Phase Five Race board to fit. The other boards dropped right in.

traves_Peterson - I made them from some cloth material that my wife got from a consignment shop. Nothing spectacular but I liked the flag pattern and they've held up very well. When they get dirty from the water and road dust/dirt I just slide them off and throw them in the laundry with a load of clothes. PM me your info....mailing address, length, and diameter. If she has enough material left over from her projects I'll make you some. Took me about 10 minutes tops to bang them out with our sewing machine.

tachudda - NautiqueJeff did a write up when he did his several years ago and I found his how to using the search. Just search electric valves or electronic valves and just start reading. Lots of people on here have done it and wrote about there installs.
