Nice ride! I think I saw that one on Onlyinboards. We just picked up our 216 this summer as well. Our first Nautique, how about you?

I'm still chasing some small electrical gremlins and dealing with some minor maintenance issues. Hope yours runs great.

Thanks! That's the one. It was featured back in 2013 on this forum. I replaced the steering cable but otherwise, it's been running like a dream. What minor issues have you had? Upload a pic!

I picked up a 2003 air 216 last year and have put about 100 hours on it so far. I too had some electrical issues that I had to track down. It turned out to be the fuse holder in the battery box. It didn't look like there was an issue but when you would wiggle the wires going into the fuse holder you could get the power to cut out. Changed that out and it appears to have solved all of the issues I was having.

My issues are a stiff steering cable, and some intermittent gauges. Based upon some other discussions that I saw, I disassembled the Faria box and inspected things in there. No indication of moisture or bad solder joints. Reassembled, purchased a new fuel gauge, and that has been working ever since. All of my 12-volt outlets are dead, but cannot find a common breaker/fuse. Maybe each one is dead due to different problems?

I also have loose bolts holding all of the side panels on. The previous owner had new upholstery and carpet added, and I think whoever did it took some shortcuts. When laying underneath and looking up at these bolts, the nuts and bolts spin together and are therefore difficult to tighten. I thought about screwing on two additional jam nuts so that I can hold the bolt shaft still while I tighten the exposed lock-nut. Everything stays in place without much movement, so it is more of an aggravation than a real problem. Finally, I can't get the ballast tanks to fill. I checked that the hull valves are open, I can hear the pump running, but the tanks do not fill. I checked the owners manual, and it mentions pneumatic valves that need to be opened to let the air out as the water comes in. These are supposed to be under the driver's console, but they are not there....??
