Absolutely love the interior. Wet sanding looks like it worked great for you. Just my 2 cents, I can tell you dropped some dough on the vinyl for this and the steering wheel (love btw) but I wouldn’t have gone the cheap route on SeaDek. If you make the templates yourself and send to a fabricator, I think prices are fairly reasonable and an independent fabricator is not charging as much as SeaDek themselves and they are buying their sheets from SeaDek. Check out this thread below that I started, maybe you’ve seen it? It’s got contact information if you ever want to get some prices. Derek is great to work with and I have sent a lot of people to him. I think that would really send this project over the top. I plan to do my floor eventually but need to have a winter where I’m not recovering from knee surgery, which has been the last 2...

Yeah I totally agree. I definitely plan to redo the seadeck correctly. It was the first thing I did and trying to save a few bucks will end up costing me in the end. I also need to level the ski locker door and the gas tank floor cover to finish it correctly. I just popped off the windshield today for powder coat more to come!

While you've got the glass out of the frame, if you have any desire to tint the windshield, now would be the time. They can get the tint closer to the edges of the glass so the frame and rubber covers up the edges. I had mine tinted before I powder coated the frame and it looked good but I had the tint redone while the glass was out of the frame for powder coat and it turned out way better.

                Two questions:

Whats was the step by step to get the engine cover to a walk through? (A few threads on this...but curious as to what you did)

Did you use self leveling gel coat epoxy after carpet removal and sanding? Or what type of role on.....and did you like it.

                Thanks
                D

It actually wasn't too bad. I cant speak for my Vinyl guy because he obviously had to customize that part but after that I just applied a can of gel coat and sea dek.

It's been a while since I posted some updates. Covid-19 gave me a lot of free time to work on the boat. I redid the floor by removing the monstaliner and applying gelcoat. Then I built some custom seat bases to allow for more storage underneath and easier access to the ballast valves. Last week installed the new Roswell Aviator tower.

                    Additions:
                    • Open Air JL Audio Subwoofer
                    • Updated all speakers to JL Audio and two JL AMPS
                    • new dash start panel and accessory panel
                    • Sea Dek (Redone the correct way)
                    • New Coosa Ski Locker hatch to correct the gaps
                    • upgraded alternator to 100 AMP
                    • Removed front cooler to allow room for front ballast bag
                    • JL Media Master head unit
                    • Custom arm rest and side panel
                    • Domed letters super air nautique Decals
                    • ROSWELL AVIATOR PRO TOWER & Bimini
                    • 650Lb Ski Locker Sac

Its for the anchor / NAV stern light pole. The older boats didn't have the light on the tower.
