    Goodbye Moomba, Hello Natique

We’ll, today was the day we upgraded our ride..... We said goodbye to our beloved family ski and wake surf boat today as we swapped out our 2014 Moomba LSV for a 2020 Super Air Nautique GS22. Ryan Lamon at WaterCraft Sales in Three Lakes, WI was awesome to work with to get this deal done, and Mark and Forrest did a phenomenal job spending 4 hours with us on the water today to teach us about every nook & cranny of this beast. We had our last cocktail cruise on the Moomba last night as we took delivery today, and we already love this boat. The wakesurf wave is ridiculous with the Pro Ballast, and the ski wake should NOT be this small for a 22’ surf boat!

Anyway, a big shout out to the team at WaterCraft Sales who has made our family VERY happy with our new Nautique!

It looks strange to see hardly any leaves on the trees in June in the third pic.

Good catch ..... That pic was one that the Dealer had on file from earlier this Spring. We’re in full Summer mode now, and here’s a pic from our lower patio

Okay, much better. Nice setting you have there too. Nothing like living on the water. I dig the flag at the water’s edge.

Ha, thanks .... the builder that did the renovations on our place did the flag pole old school, using a tree from our property for the pole and base, then painted it white. It totally fits in with the older lake homes up in the North Woods

Looks like you have a great set up in the north woods. I snowmobile up there and often wonder what it's like in the summer. Your boat looks fantastic and it sounds like you have a great dealer which makes the experience that much better. I hope you get the enjoyment out of your gs22 that my family has out of our 2016 SAN 230. We have over 700 hours and have enjoyed the family time thoroughly. Congrats!

Dang .... 700 hours on a 2016? I WISH we could be on our boat that much! We had 300 hours on our 2014 Moomba that we traded in, and I’m guessing we’ll continue to put about 50 hours/year on the GS22. Summer is fantastic up there, but our place is a 5-hour drive up north so it’s not like we’re getting the chance to ski and surf during the week. Glad to hear you guys love your Nautique, I’ve been really impressed with how much this crowd is committed to the brand, and you guys have been awesome in welcoming a first-time owner like me with all my newbie questions!

700 hours is alot. the boat is fantastic. we had a cobalt which we used to put around 60 or 70 hours a summer on. We loved the cobalt but made the switch to nautique and our water time ramped up significantly. i wish i could tell you the boat was right outside of my home and this added to the heavy usage. We live 4 hours from our lake home in northern indiana. Agree with you on helpfulness of nautique users. i am looking at a Whaler for Florida and am frustrated by the lack of information their users provide.

Ha...a beautiful G23 just buzzed by my dock. i retired a month ago so still at the lake!

So now with 50+ hours on this boat, we love it more every day. Our three sons and I all love to ski and surf, and we’ve all upped our games on both our slalom skis and well as on the surfboard behind this boat. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, my wife loves this boat. She has been able to get back on her slalom ski for the first time in 2+ years, and she has been able to go ropeless for the first time ever on this awesome wave. So on the basis of the old adage of “Happy wife, happy life”, upgrading to our GS22 has been a huge success . All you need to see is the sheer look of joy on my wife’s face in the surf pic below from her first ropeless ride to understand how much fun she’s having!
