I'm 47 and grew up skiing behind what is now "classic" Ski Nautiques. After a very long hiatus from lake life (35 years), my teenage son wanted to get into watersports. As we started looking for boats, I told him I would not buy anything but a Nautique. After a few months of searching, we found a one-owner, 1997 SN with 600 hours on it. We've enjoyed owning it for 2+ years now. It gave me the Nautique "itch" and this past July, after a few more months of "looking", I found an '83 SN (original owner) with 1,100 hours. It was located in Indianapolis and I live in Atlanta. Time for a road trip. I love this boat as it is 100% original. I took it to my detail shop and they buffed it up nicely and I replaced the decals on it. While the original painted stripes are fading a bit, it is in great shape for it's age. Funny story, the original owner actually purchased the boat here in Marietta, GA (from a dealer about 2 miles from my house - see original invoice below), so by me purchasing it and bringing it back to Marietta, it's come full circle. Here are a few photos of it, including me taking the keys from the original owner. Let me hear your Nautique story.
