Nice setup! Im looking to order a new truck and Ram is at the top of my list right now. I am between 2500 and 3500 because the 2500 has pretty limited payload for a 3/4 ton, how does that thing tow so far? Did you think about going with the air suspension to help with sag?

I really wanted the 2500 limited with the Air suspension but could not find one, supply is so low right now. I found a Laramie that had every option as the limited, but did not have factory air suspension. Payload is not a problem for me, the boat is the only thing I pull and tongue weight is around 500 to 600 and my payload is 2100, that gives me enough left over for people and gear.
Also how many miles do you have on the truck at this point? Any tranny issues? That is the other piece that scares me about the 2500 vs 3500 w/ the AISIN

I was looking at F150's first, I'm glad I went with the 2500 diesel.
I have 5K miles so far, and would say 1500 miles of that is towing. I really like all the options but one that I didn't care about but I really like is the safety group.
The Adaptive Cruise and Digital Rearview Mirror I use all the time.
My favorite options are the Big Screen and Camera group. I don't think you can get the surround camera on anything but the Limited's right now.
The upgraded stereo sounds good but I could live without a 17 speaker system.
I love the truck and has exceeded all expectations. I never even considered the 3500 I just thought it was too much truck for what I needed.

If I got another ram, I would get another 3500 with the aisin transmission, hands down. I had the aisin in both my 3500s and never had any issues with it. it is very similar to the 6 speed allison.
I would also get the limited package. by far a better interior than the laramie.
a buddy of mine has a ram 2500 with the coils. his truck sags pretty good with a sled deck and 2 sleds on it. when it is unloaded though, it rides way smoother than the 3500 with leaf springs.
rams are great trucks. I sold my last one to my brother-in-law. I fully built it with every Carli suspension product they offer. it is super nice. That truck has been super reliable, way more than my 2020 GMC

kylant that all makes sense and is what I am leaning towards. I was thinking about the 2500 w/ air suspension to handle the sag but I dont want the 68 RFE so 3500 w/ HO and Aisin will probably be my move. Its overkill for my use case because I will never be pulling more that 10-15k but thats alright. I like the longevity of that drivetrain.
Do you have any issues with how harsh the Aisin shifts when not pulling?

Sweet setup. I have the same truck in black. Purchased my 2021 RAM Big Horn w/Cummins in April brand new. Today I have 13K miles on it.. No issues yet, awesome truck. I came from a 2016 almost fully loaded F150 with ecoboost that I had A LOT of issues with and before the f150 had a Sierra SLT. I switched to diesel (and big horn trim) in hopes of getting a more reliable longer lasting truck.. Time will tell.. but that awesome panoramic moonroof doesn't do me much good when it won't close! I'm not brand loyal and will keep switching brands until I find a good one that lasts...
