Today was install day for all of this Roswell gear on the project 2014 SAN 230.

Got almost everything finished, and it turned out great!

Nothing major, but I am ramping this one up this coming week. The trailer I bought for it needed a little bit of modification, and that has been completed. I am picking that up tomorrow. The title work for the boat has been completed, and really all that's left is to have the gelcoat buffed and a few scratches removed, finish cleaning the interior, finish installing the new amps, and install the new bimini top. I ordered a new factory cover for the boat yesterday, along with a new set of Chromax letters for one side since one side has an S that is messed up. I am hoping to have this thing ready to go very soon.

I have been driving it all over the lake the past couple of weeks, and it is running great. This coming week looks like we're going to have some days in the 70's, so it'll probably get used quite a bit this week too.

Spent some time today doing some additional cleaning on the bow cushions. They had some mildew that the Spray Nine Marine didn't get rid of. Same thing on the observer's seat base and on the rear compartment covers. I thought I might have to have these reupholstered.

I found that Starbright Mildew Remover really does work if you use it properly.

Here's the before. All three of the bow cushions that I did today looked like this.

I sprayed the Starbright Mildew Remover on, and let it sit for about 20 minutes, reapplying it as it dried up.

After about 20 minutes, the mildew was gone. No scrubbing or anything.

I then flushed the cushions for about ten minutes with lots of water because there is bleach in this mildew remover.

Here's how they turned out.

Next I will hit them with some 303 Aerospace Protectant, once they are completely dry.

I still need to do the observer's seat base and the rear compartment covers, but I am very happy with how these turned out.

If you use this stuff, be sure to flush the cushions thoroughly, especially around the thread. The bleach will damage it if you do not.

I was actually doing a similar removal the other day and the Starbrite product removed about 90% to 95% of the discoloration. Worked quite well!

For the remaining portion, I was able to spot clean the remaining stains with 'Clorox Outdoor Bleach'. I just used a q-tip and kept it very local.

Looking at the MDS, the starbright product is 1-5% bleach (sodium hypoclorite) and the Clorox product is 3 to 7% bleach.

So if you have bit of tough stain, seems like just a bit more bleach product will do the job. Maybe this will help someone else....

Yes, that's the one I used. Good to know about the Clorox Outdoor Bleach. I may have a few small spots to try that on. Thanks!

After quite a long wait, I finally received the new cover on Friday. This is great timing -- it got here just before pollen season hits! I can't use the cover inside my boathouse because the tower needs to stay up, and it would hit the roof if I kept it on the lift in the boathouse, so it has been moved to the outside lift. It is still better protected with the cover than it would be in the boathouse with no cover.

Since this is an OEM cover, it fits perfectly. I am very happy with it.

The new amps are being installed hopefully this week. It goes to the gelcoat shop on April 4 to get buffed out and to have a couple of scratches filled. The only other thing missing is the bimini top, which I am picking up at Roswell when I pick up the 2022 PN G23. After that, it'll be ready to sell.

This boat went to the gelcoat shop today for a couple of scratch repairs and a final buffing of the entire boat.

They are also replacing one bent tracking fin, and adding a second set of bunks to the trailer so that the boat will sit properly on the trailer.

Once that's finished, all that will be left is to hook up the two new amps for the stereo and mount the bimini top, and then it'll be ready to sell!

Fantastic Work Jeff! I love these threads about restoration and the quality effort people put into them! So much info here to learn from. Now if I could just get some of the Spray Nine Marine (always seems to be unavailable when I look on their website and amazon)!

Got the boat back from gelcoat buffing today. Only things left to do are mount the bimini and mount the new amps. All of that stuff is here at my house now, so it won't be long until this one is ready to go!
