Hey all, been on here quite awhile and have used a lot of knowledge on here to help with my project. Bought the boat during the start of Covid. My first wake/v-drive boat. It’s a 2006 Air Nautique 226 TE. 375hp 6.0l. Very low hours, because it didn’t get used much. Nice crossover boat We have made it into what we really wanted without breaking the bank. Redid all the ballast since port tank was cracked. Carrying around 3500lbs of water ballast now. Tried many different wakeshapers over the past 3 summers. Got a really nice shaped wave. Lots of push and pretty long. Only problem is switching sides for goofy riders. Fights the prop rotation and very hard to steer. Just installed the Go Assist Surf system this past weekend. Can’t wait to get it in the water and set it up.

Thanks, it’s a game changer for sure. It loves rear weight. So right now I have 1265lbs in each rear side. Powerful wave with great push. With my wife and the couple of her friends that surf with us, you can’t even feel them back there and they can ride anywhere they want on the wave. As big as I am, I need them to sit on the port side to help, but then the driver can adjust the pitch of the wave plates to make the wave great. It wasn’t cheap, but I did by on a Black Friday sale, so that helped some. Then after talking to Ryan (owner) from GAS on the phone, how much help with setup, adjustments, and weight that he gives shows they believe in it. I noticed a good drop in RPMs at surf speed. At least 400rpms. Steering is back, no fighting the shaper. You do feel the boat list when you transfer sides. But it’s easy to compensate for. Gas mileage is better as well, pushing more weight too. Over all worth the money.
