1999 21ft Super Air

Its my first wake boat! Im so excited! I want to learn everything about this boat. I have so many buttons and switches i dont know what they do.
This boat was one of 5 built this year and has the big boy python 500+ hoursepower engine. I have figured out how to use all horses lol. It had 277 hours and belonged to one of my friends brothers that passed away so i know its history.
Anyway if i should ask a question that may seam stupid i apologize in advance.

Rare boat for sure! If I remember right, those engines will use oil throughout the normal operation. It should have a hump on the rear center cushion lol.. Have fun! I think they require premium fuel as well. If you can find higher octane ethanol free, that is what I would use - otherwise consult a Nautique dealer.

Great boat. I used to use a friends ‘99 Air which had plenty of power without the Python. I wonder what pitch/diameter prop they used compared to the non-Python engine? I don’t know the size for either on that year/model. But I would imagine that it is different and probably prop-up with higher top speed at the same RPM.

Very cool boat! That Python is awesome!

Two things though.

1. That is not a Super Air Nautique. That is an Air Nautique. Super Air Nautiques are v-drives, and yours is a direct drive.

2. That engine produces 430 HP, not 500+. The 500+ on the air filter is referring to torque, not horsepower.
