It's like playing the lotto each year, I was pretty stoked when I opened up our tags last week. We are running 3x3 Red this year, it's going to be a good year, ha.
It's the simple things in life...

I was curious about the P20 also?

You guys are right, it's my membership identity for the club, has to be in a "contrasting colour" and the size you see. So while it doesnt show on the pic, mine are chrome foil, so at least match the lettering on the boat. I wish it wasnt there but it's a small price to pay to be at this club, as the lake is good and the members are amazing. They have been so welcoming and helpful to us as newbies I could not ask for better to be honest. There is a lot still to learn and I'm all ears at the club and there is always someone willing to jump on and help out

        Thanks, DMS2610

Scooter G I would think red is about the best you could hope for. Ours are on a 3-year cycle, so when you get a bad one, you're stuck for 3 years. My most recent have been gross orange and baby blue. Blech!

3 years, hmm, good & bad, I suppose. I guess at least we get to mix it up a little more often than that. I think I know the orange, not a fan. Haven't witnessed the baby blue yet, but I won't give them any ideas...
And some would say "It's just a boat sticker, move on"

Ouch, send that lady to the US so I can pull my empty trailer around by her. Mine needs a little TLC. Glad I only have to trailer the boat a couple times a year.

My registration is on a 3 year deal as well. Current one is Red, but I have to put the 2025 sticker on before I get it out of the barn. Can't recall what color the new one is, probably purple or orange knowing my luck (my boat is neither of those colors). Have to get our pier put in this weekend so my lift can be set at the end of the month. Got some 70° days recently that teased us, but back down to 50°'s and rain this weekend. Great day for wadders and pier install, NOT.

I’m late in posting an update but I’m pleased to tell you guys that both my son and I passed our SBD2 (Ski Boat Driver 2) and our ICC (International Certificate of Competency) last weekend. So, I now have a driver for summer

I guess this is a sort of sign-off for this post, as it shows you guys what it's all being for. After about one and a half hours of water time, I got my son (Rupert aged 16) up for the first time and now he's hassling me constantly to go to the lake which is absolutely wonderful. Thanks for all the comments and guidance chaps, see you in my update when Rupert can jump the wake…..or me for that matter

It’s been a fun thread to follow.
You bought your boat, invested plenty of time and money fixing it up just the way you want it, now the fun begins!
Have a great season out on the water enjoying your new toy!!!

There is one thing I forgot to mention…..while moving the boat to the lake and at very low speed, a young girl aged about 19 decided to cross three lanes to join mine. She seemingly did not see the G23 being towed by a Range Rover and drove into the side of my trailer. She nearly rolled her car and its a write of and she has done £7k worth of damage to my trailer, luckily the boat was unharmed. Obviously I can not leave the lake now until it's repaired and I am waiting on parts from USA.

Well guys, the trailer is now fixed!

For those still following my thread, what cost would you anticipate for redoing the anti-foul coating on this G23 i.e. paying for it to be done by someone who knows what they are doing

Anti-Foul Coating? Is that a requirement in the UK?
Most of us in the States are running fresh water, and the same gel coat on the bottom hull that is on the rest of the boat, stem to stern.
                            Curious topic...

Glad to hear your trailer is mended.

Edit: I just read the following in the manual, as I was searching for something else.

"In most areas, it is advisable to coat the boat bottom with
antifouling paint to prevent the build-up of marine growth.
Contact your dealer for advice on these requirements in
                            your area."

Hi Scooter, it's the same here, but if you have the costal edition boat it seems normal to have anti-foul and it looks like once you have it, it would be more expensive to try to return to clean than have it redone
