A week or two ago I ordered some speaker and rack covers from Jim at Speakersox in the US. Since I am new to boating I made a mistake and ordered the wrong ones. Not only did Jim post this, reach out to clarify, he even gave me the correct ones at the same price when they were more expensive. What a guy, such great service and amazing products. I got covers for my Roswell Speakers and my Triton V2's. He has other product such as mirror covers, steering wheel covers and so much more if you want to check it out www.speakersox.com he's a very top bloke as we say in the UK

So it's back from the upholsterers today and I'm very pleased…big thanks go to Phil at Marine Trim Limited. So tuesday Sea-Dek are visiting to fit the flooring and when thats done I'll try to get some pics here. When they are here I will fit the newly refurbished speakers back on it. They are not all black, they are gun metal silver underneath you just cant see in the pic.
As it's cold here and Sea-Dek need a certain temp I have made a tent over the boat so we can get some heat in it

Tent = Good creative use of resources, lol. Open up the rear hatches for a boost in head room.
Excited for your project, looking good. What's an upholstery job run over there? Love the color combo.

Ditto on Speakersox, Jim runs a quality outfit for sure.

Hey Scooter. You’ are looking at £7500 including tax for a good retrim and SeaDek is about £3000. But today it was finished and I’m so pleased, just got to fit refurbed speakers, repaired Bimini and the board racks this weekend. Here is the result, hope you guys approve

$9500 US plus another $3800ish, if I translated correctly. Well whatever the cost, I really like the combo. Looks like a black & white photo in color. Very soothing & comforting IMO. Nice work man!

Yeah your spot on there scooter and thanks for the kind comment. I was thinking the boat is colourful enough outside it might be classier to stay monochrome inside

So that’s what that pole and straps are for….‍♂️ Interior looks great! Congrats on the new boat!

Back at you with the start of a new beginning, it will be an interesting year here in the States, not mentioning any particular reasons.
We're about a hard 3 months off from seeing any water activities, maybe hit our favorite cable park in Mexico between now and then, and catch some under water breathing.

I’m with you Scooter, counting the days until our season starts. It’s short here, 5-6 months max so we have to make the best of it

So, our lake opens at the beginning of March, but the water will be so cold. As I am a new boater, my son (16 yesterday) and myself will be taking the BWDW Ski Boat Drivers award, it's mandatory at the lakes available to me and a good idea anyway. This will of course tease me getting a chance to drive my boat then having to store it again until the big yellow ball appears (it's a mythical thing that appears rarely here in the UK )….the wait is killing me!!!

Man I wish we had a required Boaters class here, teaching mostly etiquette, common sense, and hey what do those little red & green lights mean on the front of a boat.
There is no age limit on how young you can drive a boat here, all my kids learned to pull at 12, dang good boat drivers they are. Then there was the time my daughter hooked a super tight turn with me at the end of the rope, I made the mistake of going to the outside, I discovered that it is possible to do 75 mph on a wakeboard, lol.

Searching for the "big yellow ball"

Yeah, I agree that a boating course should be required. There are a lot of morons out there. In MN, we have the following regulations. Once you're 18, it's a free-for-all. Our son turned 12 this year--I should have him take a course. I'm not ready for him to tow me, yet, but it won't be long!

                              Less than 12 years old:
                              • 25 hp or less — no restrictions.
                              • More than 25 through 75 hp — must have someone at least 21 years old on board within immediate reach of the controls.
                              • More than 75 hp — not allowed to operate even with an adult on board.

                              12-17 years old:
                              • 25 hp or less — no restrictions.
                              • More than 25 hp, must either have:
                              – a watercraft operator’s permit, or
                              – someone at least 21 years old on board and within immediate reach of the controls.

Well I'm beginning to get exctied…..our lake opens for membership this coming month and I have a place secured, also a place for storing my boat at the lake which is amazing. I have booked the drivers course for me and my son and the people at the club all seem to be very welcoming. It's going to be too cold to go in the water for a couple of months but I at least get the chance to launch the boat, get to grips with it and some driving practice in
