    2022 XStar >>> 2024 G23

    Hello!

I grew up on MasterCrafts and have owned several of my own since I've grown up. My last one was a 2022 XStar. I absolutely love the wake of the G's for wakeboarding and finally decided to get into one. My first set was this morning and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Wow, that is a beautiful luxury tow ship, congrats!
Let's see a few shots of you ripping the wake behind that beast on those early morning sets...

BasaltRMK you do it on a sled, now just transition it to the rope

Ha Scooter G! Maybe when I was 15 years younger. Somehow hill climbing on a turbo 850 feels safer to me!

                You are absolutely correct Bob!
The train wreck on a failed Raley attempt is horrific, ask me how I know, ha. I've got too many other things to dial in before I go there (again).
I admire stellerpark for his cat like agile skills.

                  Scooter G - amen, brother!

stellerpark - how are you liking that Admiral Blue metalflake? Big fan, we had it on both our G21s. Went back and forth a million times (as Scooter can attest) before we switched to Anthracite metalflake on the G23.

Did you go with the ZZ8S?

Scooter G Thanks for the compliments!

I learned the Raley back when I was a teenager riding behind my Dad's MasterCraft ProStar 190 with a skypole - think it was around 1996. The mental aspect on that trick is hard but once you land it - it's the one of the easier tricks to do on repeat.

BasaltRMK I like the Admiral Blue metal flake. It isn't overdone and appears more subtle. And it came with the ZZ6. I didn't build this one, as it was already spec'd out by the dealer. I guess the engine was the only thing not upgraded on it. But my buddy has a 2022 G23 with same engine and it still handles well when loaded down.

stellerpark - oh for sure, i had the ZZ6 in my G21s and it's a **** of an engine. I bet at sea level it moves that G23 just fine! We only bumped up to the ZZ8S because our home lake is at 8,000' elevation, and I was worried that the larger surface area of the G23, plus the supplemental ballast, might make the ZZ6 work harder than I'd like.

You're a badass on that board, man - if you come to CO I'll take some lessons! I love the wake on the G23, but I never learned anything beyond jumping the wake and 180s. And now I'm 50! Who knows, maybe I'll get inspired and watch some Shaun Murray instructional videos...?

Sick boat Love the colors. Great to see guys still wakeboarding the old school Raley tricks and batwings never go out of style.

swatguy Thanks! And I'm a total old school wakeboarder. I'm in my mid-40's and ride with a bunch rippers in their early 20's. Raleys and batwings are always crowd pleasers.

Same here. Strap on the CTI2’ brace and still rolling at 46.

Colors are awesome! Definitely need some more interior pics to drool over please!

Ain't catching me trying any of that. I'm just happy driving the boat and watching the kids.
