I didn't know I had been so good this past year.

Thanks for the compliments.
Also, I'd like to say thanks everyone on this website. I've enjoyed reading your posts since last February. After 10 years without a ski boat, (I sold my Mastercraft when my wife & I began building a house and also found out we were expecting our first child), its been a long time coming. The good discussion and info provided here by all of you was a very positive influence in our decision to go with the 206.
I ordered her back in October and She arrived last Thursday. The kids had no idea the boat was even in the garage (its a detached garage). I honestly thought they were going to explode when they saw it in the yard Christmas morning. They wanted to sleep in it last night.
We're all looking forward to a lot of fun in our first Nautique.

Wiseman. Sweet boat and welcome to the nautique family. I am a new member as well and this is an incredible web site to read, so many knowledgeable and generous people.
Curious how your tow vehicle handles the boat? How far do you tow? I see the lake in the photos so I am assuming the answer is not too far. Is it an Explorer or Mountaineer? And what motor, the 4.0 or the 4.6? Sorry for all the questions, not trying to hijack the threat but the white tow vehicle is very sharp!

Great looking boat. My 216 has the reverse colors. I see two future Nautique owners in one of the photos. Being your in SC, I also see a New year day ski in your future.

I see where you get your profile name. Wiseman indeed. I was just down near Lake Murray (from Lake Norman) picking up my Christmas gift. (dog from a breeder nearby) Already have 2004 216 Air. I know your kids will love learning new tricks. Are they looking for big wake while you're wanting the opposite?

Nice set up. Water conditions like those in the photo dictate the need for a quick set.
Cheif351, I tow my '96 Sport with a '04 Eddie Bauer Explorer with the 4.6 V8 without any troubles.

chief351, I haven't had the opportunity to tow the boat much yet, but so far, the explorer seems fine. It's an 07 with the 4.6 V8 and towing package. As an aside, 10 years ago, I towed my mastercraft with a V6 explorer. It was OK, but slightly underpowered for longer trips.
Lilfoot, you are correct. My son is wanting to learn to wakeboard. My wife & I are the skiers. So far, my daughter prefers skiing. She wants to slalom and learn the course.

Wiseman:
AWESOME boat! I have the same boat (sans tower) with almost the same color scheme. Our entire family loves it -- I have never been visited by so many cousins/brothers/friends in the past year
The 206 is a fantastic boat. My kids look about the same age as yours and they can't wait to go skiing. They all started this year and my 7 year old can now slalom (deep water one ski start) and my five year old is a wild woman on two skis. My 11 is getting better than my wife....
Since we have about a foot of ice on the local lakes I'm envious of your location. It looks good enough for a holiday ski! Mine is tucked into the garage right now.....
This forum has been a great place for info. I skim it often, contribute not as much.
Enjoy!

Congrats! We got a new-to-us 03 206 this last summer and love it. I went 15 years without and our new son (four months old now) prompted us (read me) to pop for the boat so I could get back into skiing shape before he grows up and realized I was an old man. He will be big enough for a life jacket when we dewinterize in March.
Enjoy!
