Leaking boat cover . . . Star brite Waterproofing with PTEF?

Has anyone tired the Star Brite waterproofing product? My current cover is starting to leak but is otherwise in decent shape. I'd rather not spend the $ on a new one if I can re-waterproof it effectively. Does this product work well? If so, how long does the waterproofing last? Is there a better alternative?

I've redone mine a bunch of times, really helps a lot. I've used this product just this past summer and the cover is doing its job really well. Can't really speak to other water proofing sprays though.

I tried 303 fabric guard. It was suggested by Cover Sport.
Works well but you need to apply a really thin coat or else it won't work.

All of the water proofing works well whether it be west marine(starbrite) or 303. In my experience it lasts about a year give or take.

Well this maybe why 303 didn't work wel for me. I used a garden sprayer and went pretty heavy when I applied it. Had to apply it a couple times and still doesn't bead water all that great. Next time I'll try lighter coats. Most folks speak highly of the 303.

That's why... I did the same and really applied the product to soak it...
Didn't work at all and was really disappointed.
I was told to apply light coats and then it worked wonder.

Thanks, guys. Do you clean the cover first or just spray it on?

I just made sure it was dust free and dry.
