I was thinking of manufacturing and selling standard replacement biminis (not for the z5) with upper surf pockets made from real sunbrella material. It's for guys that want the surf pockets and want their own custom color. The factory replacement Bimini is around $1100 I believe. If I sold a new sunbrella bimini with surf pockets in your choice of 6 or so colors, would anyone bite at $600? I know you can send off your bimini to have pockets sewn into it, but this bimini would be of better quality (better material and sewing) than the Nautique one and available in colors like navy blue, red, charcoal gray, light gray, black of course, orange, yellow, white, I don't know. We could also offer mesh pockets on the underside or any other ideas guys came up with. I'm not trying to sell them in this thread, just a feeler to see if anyone would be interested, then I'd become a forum sponsor of course and do it properly. I own a business that sells UTV accesories and we have a lot of experience with sunbrella and making vinyl seats, sunbrella tops, etc. Thanks!

Just make sure the surf pockets actually fit wake surf boards. Not sure what the ones on the OEM were designed for. Boards dont fit right in that narrow netting.

And how about a underside mesh pocket for current surfers sunglasses or hat.

Yeah....now that I think about it, my factory top material is a bit thinner than the Sunbrella from what I remember. Keep us posted on your poll. I would love to have surf pockets.Comment

Is this only for G boats? I have a 2008 SAN and may be interested in a larger bimini than stock with pockets

Maybe in the future we could expand and make extended length biminis and for other boats but for right now I'm just talking about the Bimini that fits the g boats and the newer nautiques.Originally posted by shag View PostComment

I would guess that NautiqueParts would sell those at 10% off whatever their normal price is. It isn't on their website, so you would have to call them to get a price. And I am taking the FABRIC only..... not the entire Bimini frame...and not even the storage boot.
we should be able to order the new version Bimini fabric with the OEM surf pockets... what year did they start? 16? 17?
Jeff, do you think they are backwards compatible back to 2013 Gs or did the Bimini change?
