Update: we are well underway on the prototype. It's going to have some really nice features and functionality that you guys will love. It's going to look factory not like some of the cheesy add on pockets I've seen on the internet. The $600 shipped price for a complete replacement surf Bimini is still on target. We are also going to offer a factory bimini surf pocket add on service for around $250 including return shipping. We can cover both bases!

Jeff I've been thinking for awhile on adding an extension, that video was exactly what I was envisioning. That comes next!

Any local canvas shop can add them for you. Take a picture of what the Nautique ones look like, or design your own if you think you might be able to do better. I did that with my older Malibu boat and was very pleased with the end result.

Not to poo poo surf pockets but I thought I wanted them too . After further thought , I really don’t want my high end surfboards baking in the sun in the surf pockets . Just saying

For me, the cheap ones go up there. It always strikes me as odd when I make a purchase of something that is more premium and it breaks easier than the cheaper version. I keep my nicer board in a board bag in the walkway, which I don't really like either, but it is what it is.

i am in the process of doing that now. I also agree with your assessment about heat and banging around in the bimini. the board rack on my 2014 only has wide enough prongs to hold two surf boards one on each side - so i am wanting the pockets for overflow boards etc.

i have seen some good posts on this forum with pics. i am curious if anyone has perfected the custom surf pocket on a stock bimini. if anyone has some good pics - please post.

Earlier this season I reached out to Dallas Canvas to add surf pockets only after reviewing many posts on this forum. They did an awesome job and updated my 2016 G23 Bimini as close to factory as you can get.
