Seeking ideas to keep sun away from back of boat while sitting on boat lift
How much do they weigh? And where do you store them while boating? How about a picture of the one from Dallas Canvas? Thanks.
I think mine weighs about 35lbs. It's made from their Top Gun material which is pretty heavy duty. We just throw ours on the dock while we are out. Really nice to not have to lower the tower. I went without a canopy on my lift for that reason. If I had to do over I would have listened to Sewlong and gotten the Grey as the black does get a little warm. But with the two big vents and over the tower there is plenty of room for it to breath.
I bought the stern skirt and put it on last week. Easy peasy and works like a charm.
Yep. Did you try cutting the pipe insulation a bit shorter than the width of the skirt? At first, I had mine the full length and it's just too much. It's much easier to deal with if it's about 8 inches shorter on each side.
I already posted a pic of my cover from Dallas canvas. See post #15 in this thread. I don't think I had the cover tightened in this pic. It is a very well made cover and fits my 17 g23 with Bimini open perfectly.

How does your cover cinch up around the bottom edge? Also, does it tie to your lift?
I'm about to order one of these over the tower covers and I'm trying to decide between Dallas Canvas and Sewlong. I know both make a great product, but I'm trying to decide if one has more user friendly features over the other.
It has a cinch strap built into the bottom of the cover on both sides and a zippered enclosure to close them up if needed. No it doesn’t strap to my dock. It fits really tight to the bottom. If it blew off I would have bigger problems than just the cover. I will say their cover is very heavy duty. I wouldn’t have gotten black if I had to do it over. Just gets dirty. I’m on season four of it.

Jeff,
Sorry for so many questions, but how is the cinch strap made? Is it ratchet style or does it have some other means of tightening?
