    230 cover support

There are 2 poles that go under the cover of my 2017 230. One in the bow and one in the rear. They hold the cover up so water doesn’t pool. The 2 poles are connect by a strap and have straps that connect to the cleats in the rear of the boat and the grab handles in the front. Today I lost one of the male clips that goes to the left rear cleat. Does anyone know where I can purchase just the clip? Thanks!

I don't know about the clips (maybe Amazon?)....but I removed the pole system for the cover on my boat and replaced it with 2) Hangtyte systems. Installed 1 just forward of the tower and 1 behind the tower, this way you can hang both off the top of the tower (I didn't need one for the bow on my boat). Much less pooling of water since you can adjust the tension much easier and having 2 in the cabin area keeps any water from collecting. Basically just install the cover like normal and as you work the cover from front to back of the boat, hang the Hangtyte ropes off the tower, cinch down the cover and then tighten these systems until you have the tension you want.

I had upholstery shop sew in/add 12" x 12" thick fabric under the cover at both places that I installed the Hangtyte systems to re-inforce those areas. Dont know if needed since these are made well but seemed like a good idea to me since I tow with cover on occasionally.

Thanks for the feedback! I wish my cover would have come with that setup in the first place. How well does it work?

Works awesome for me, I only use the Hangtyte's now and have been since 2017.
