2020 cover question

All - just picked up our 2020 G21 yesterday. Love it. Question about the cover - both our 2018 and the new 2020 have the non-power tower, tower-up cover. But the new 2020 cover doesn’t seem to be fitted as well, especially around the tower base Velcro area. Material seems less padded and cheaper as well. Was this a change that was made between 2018 and 2020? Thanks!

The 2020 cover is definitely different. I think it is a good design but takes some getting use to compared to the '18 or '19 covers. When you wrap it around the tower first make sure the bow section is on and pulled tightly back. It helps to slide the cover up higher on the tower to mate the vertical velcro sections. Then pull it lower to snug it up and secure the horizontal velcro flap. All the best!

Timely thread as I’m yet to put the cover on mine. Thanks for the good info!

Also, I know the front and rear poles are in there, but are there supposed to be straps that attach to those poles underneath the cover? I don’t seem to have any (if they are indeed necessary)

They haven't used the strap system for a few years now. The poles should just fit into the vents in the cover.

After some rain and 2 days on the boat, the cover seems to be fitting better already.
