    Z5 Bimini Tie Downs

From what I understand the Z5 Bimini should be tied down in the front. I plan to purchase a 2011 SAN 210 with the Z5 tomorrow. The current owner no longer has these. Can I use ratchet straps to trailer the boat home?

Home Depot has the little rope ratchets that work well. That’s what I put on mine.

I thought it was only necessary for trailering

As far as I now, it's only for trailering. I used ratcheting ropes to trailer the boat about 70 miles home.

I had a Z5 on my 2012-230 and I bought the rope ratchets although I put them on all four corners when traveling distance or running at highway speed. When I only used the front two tie-downs, the bimini still bounced more than I liked so I went with four tie downs.
