2021 G23 Tower Down Cover (Standard Tower)

Any idea where to get a tower down cover for a 2021 G23 with the standard flight control tower?

Nautique only offers the tower down cover for the actuated flight control tower.

Hoping to avoid having a full custom cover made.

Are you sure? I am pretty sure you can still get the tower down cover for the FCT that folds forward.

What was the answer? As I understand it—you can’t go down the road w the standard tower in the down position. Only the actuated tower. Is this correct?

So could I get a 2021 G23 with a standard tower and tow with the tower down? With or without a tower-down cover?

My preference would be to get a standard tower and a regular cover but (mostly--if not always) tow the boat with the tower down and no cover.

I am just speaking from my own personal experience, so please don't hold me responsible if somehow damage occurs, but I towed all of my different G-boats all over the country like that and had no issues at all.

Wow. I am surprised about that. Interesting.

Now that I look at the MSRP sheet, that's right. There is no option for a tower-down cover for the standard tower, only the actuated.

I am sure SewLong could make one for you. See their banner at the top of the screen.

Won't hold you responsible; but did you do anything extra besides putting the manual tower down--and always towing it with a tower-down cover on it? (I'd assume the pressure on the cover would hold the tower down and keep it from bouncing and causing any damage.)

Do you think it would work to tow as I am suggesting? Manual tower in the down position without a cover?

I wish they'd offer a way to do it--because it would obviously save on cleaning.

A friend of my dad's was a fiberglas guy--always said to never tow with a cover on the boat.

If you happen to still have the braces that came with the boat/tower when new, you could use those to be sure the tower stays all the way down. They fit into the tower base and lock into place once the tower is folded. That's how the boats are shipped. I never used them, but I always towed with the cover on.

So I guess if one opts for the manual tower--it's either the Nautique tower-up cover, or try get something custom.

Jeff--what are those braces made of? Will they break down or wear out over time? And what tower (and cover) are you going with on your 2021 G23?

I think I'm getting close to the end of my questions on this; appreciate the help.

The braces will not break down. They are made of metal and hard plastic.

I ordered the tower-down cover for my 2021, but I have the power tower.
