Is anyone aware of a dust cover, or boat sock, something that is an easy on / off cover for boat siting under a covered hoist to keep mainly spiders, bird poop, etc off boat? I have a permanent covered hoist, the trailering cover is pretty cumbersome for nightly use, just wondering if anyone has seen / used something lighter and easier. Kids of like the socks you use on the surf boards would be nice etc…thanks!

This worked really well for me:
I bought a cheap oversized boat cover to put over my Nautique when I wasn’t using it. I only attached the bow strap and the two rear corners and it stayed on perfectly. I tied a carabiner to the bow strap so I could just clip it to the eye on the front of the hull (where you would hook the trailer strap) then I tied the rear corner straps to the side rails on my lift. It completely covers the boat, stays in place, can be put on and removed in less than 5 minutes and is very inexpensive.
These covers are thin nylon, I unhook the rear corners, roll it up as I make my way to the front of the boat then unhook the carabiner. Once rolled up it’s quite small, you can toss it on the dock or stow it under a seat. When I put the boat back on the lift, I hook the carabiner to the front, unroll the cover, attach the back corners and the boat is fully protected.
Not sure if this link will work, but it’s just an oversized inexpensive cover:

I to have a bad spider problem along with midges. Be warned though, I called this company a few years ago to get pricing for a cover like this for my 2019. It was pricey enough that I didn’t move forward. If I recall it was on par or more than a factory cover which I didn’t expect since it’s lightweight netting. Maybe my expectations weren’t realistic. I meant to investigate local options but never got around to it.
