Got bored and made my own skirts

I've had this old duck cotton cover from like a '92 Hydrodyne sitting in a corner of my basement just waiting for some...purpose. And it found one. I've been wanting side skirts to protect the boat when it's on the lift and in a moment of inspiration...decided to transform the old cover into side skirts.

Basically cut the cover in half and then used the draw string side for the gunnel side and repurposed the trailer towing straps to hang the skirts from the interior hand rails and the tower. Used my wife's sewing machine to hem up the bottom.

Came out pretty good! Tad short in the bow...too bad that old Hydrodyne wasn't 2 ft longer... :) Next up is a transom cover with the remaining material.

Nice job man! I had some made after the one side that was exposed to the sun all the time, faded over a year or two...
