Ok here's what I did, and please dont laugh because it works for me. I took a barefoot boom which came with the boat. They usually stick out the side right? and are about 10 feet long right? I chopped it off to about 6 1/2 ft. I then reworked the bracket that attaches it to the ski pylon to make the pole go vertically instead of horizontally. My only problems then were making something to support it at the floor, and making a rope extension to the front of the boat. This pole would have to be removable, because with it up, I couldnt go under some bridges on my lake. I then took a bicycle trick peg (from walmart, they got everything ) and stuck it through the floor and attached it to the engine mount. This was the hardest part because of the limited space. I then ran a rope from the top of the pole to the front loop on the boat. I then took a ratchet strap and attached it to the rope. I got a rubber bushing and put it in the metal eye. I then fabricated a bracket to attach to the ratchet and the eye. Now I can put it up when I get to the lake, but take it down when it's time to go under the bridge. What do you think? Good Idea? Bad Idea?

P.S. I will add pictures of the setup when I take some.
